Lumiareena is said to be the first and northernmost modern log building built for this type of use in the world. Lumiareena is located at the foot of the fell Iso-Syöte. The premises have views on one side of the slopes of Iso-Syöte and on the other side of the landscape of Luppovesi and Pikku-Syöte.

The building is made of Kontio’s non-pressed SmartLog ™ log. 229 m3 of logs have been used for Lumiareena, which binds about 207,000 kilos of carbon dioxide. It corresponds to the annual carbon dioxide emissions of about 20 Finns. The total area of Lumiareena is about 1400 m². Lumiareena was completed in late 2019 and opened to the public in January 2020.

The premises include Pudasjärvi tourist information, the Syöte Booking Centre with all its services, Bistoria Iso-Syöte, a fitness hall with approximately 430 m2 of gym space, which can be used for group exercise and various events. The upper-level multi-purpose hall is, for example, a functional place for a changing pop-up store.

In the hall you will find equipment and floor markings for playing volleyball, badminton, tennis and floorball. The floor material of the hall is Pulastic Elite Performance 90. The hall has high-quality sound and light technology and good acoustics.
